Event Overview

The Festival of Cycling is back for a 5th year on 24th March 2019. We’ve decided to simplify the event and there is now only a 100k option. It is in fact nearer to 105k! If this is too far (or if the weather turns!) then there is the opportunity to shorten the ride and return back. This will reduce the distance to approximately 65k.
There will be one feed station at Ilston at approximately 35km, Lubenham at 56km, Naseby at 80km and then an optional stop back at Lubenham at 97km.
Riders can start at any time from 8-9am.

Entry Details

Entry fee is £25. There will be an Early Bird entry of £20 until January 20th 2019.

Charity Partneradamsmile

Learn more here about Adamsmile our local charity partner.
We have worked alongside Adamsmile every year and we are delighted to have them on board again. As is now customary, they will be crewing the feed station at Lubenham and supplying their legendary flapjack along with other sweet and savoury options. If you wish to support them again, please make a donation when you enter or fundraise and bring the proceeds along on the day. We also make a donation from every entry.

The route

We think that you will love the new route. It takes in some sections from previous years but also throws in a few more hills for you.

Post-race beer

We are delighted to be working alongside Duncan Murray Wines to once again bring you a post-ride treat.
Kwaremont is named after the killer climb of the Oude Kwaremont in the Flemish Ardennes. It is a full malt with 6.6% alcohol content to match the steepest of inclines.
Beer to be ordered when you enter. There are discounts for multiple purchases.

Post-race food

Included in your entry fee is a choice of meal options that you will pre-order when you enter. All meals are supplied by Taste Event and Outdoor Catering. The options are:
Pulled pork burrito
Minced beef chili and rice
Chick pea and lentil dahl
Vegetable soup with cheese or ham roll

Enjoy your training and we look forward to seeing you on the 24th.
