Back in 2014, Amy Kingston and I set up Race Harborough. We wanted to have quality local events on our doorstep, Alastair Campbell (Ideal Marketing Company) shared our vision and provided invaluable support for a number of years. More recently, Kenny has joined as a Director but the Race Harborough values remain the same.
*We are passionate about active lifestyles and engaging the whole community in sport.
*We are proud to promote our thriving town, working alongside local businesses.
*We want to support people to participate in something they perhaps never thought they would or could.
*Our events also provide a challenge for experienced athletes and try to involve the whole family wherever possible.
*Supporting local charities is central to everything that we do. So far £150,000 has been raised by competitors or money that we have donated from entry fees.
The events programme that we offer continues to evolve and events come and go every year. However, the desire of the local community to get involved, remains strong. Thanks to everyone that continues to support our events.

A bit more about us
I first met Brian at the Market Harborough parkrun test events in 2015, and little did I know that within two years, I would be a part owner of Race Harborough. I work as a Risk Management Consultant for an insurance company in addition to somehow finding the time to organise Race Harborough events, I am an Event Support Ambassador for parkrun UK. I have a number of relevant qualifications including British Triathlon Federation L2 and UKA Coach in Running & Fitness, and volunteer my coaching time with local clubs.
As a serving firefighter, I’m fortunate to have more spare time than most. When I’m not organising Race Harborough events, I’m involved as an Event Support Ambassador for parkrun UK and also do some freelance event management. I regularly compete in events involving any combination of running, cycling and swimming. I hold a number of relevant qualifications including Triathlon Coach (BTF L2 and L2D), Community Responder, Water Rescue Technician and Traffic Management.
