As 2020 continues to be a bit unpredictable, we’ve made an early call for the Harborough Santa Run to go ahead as a virtual event. We are delighted to invite you to get involved in (drum roll)………..The 12 Days of Christmas.
Tradition dictates that this will start on 25th December 2020 and finish on the 5th January 2021.
The challenge is to complete a 12 day streak starting with 1km or mile on Christmas Day, 2 km’s or miles on Boxing Day up to 12 km’s or miles on 5th January 2021. This will be a total of 78km or miles over the 12 days.
It’s entirely up to you whether you want to work in km’s or miles.
If you are a bit prone to injury when you do too much or if you want a bit more flexibility to organise family time, here are a few alternatives. Why not still do a 12 day streak but alternate between shorter and longer runs or put the number 1 to 12 in a hat and draw them out at random each day? Make it work for you but choose your version of the challenge and commit to it.
When you’ve finished, email email@example.com and we’ll send your medal over to you.
We hope that this will give you something to look forward to over the festive period and prepare you for a few other virtual challenges we’ve got planned in January onwards.
Our chosen charity for this event is again the Squires Effect. We are hoping that lots of you will support them by either donating when you enter or by doing some fundraising of your own. There are a number of ways to do this. We have created a Santa Sponsorship Form to take into school for the children, or take this sponsorship form into the office/work.
