It was our second year holding our Winwick Hall Trail Races event, and we were absolutely thrilled to sell out of all places with more than a week still to go!
Winwick Hall Trail Races is one of two events that we host at Race Harborough as part of a collaboration with a local charity. A proportion of all entry fees from the Winwick Hall Trail Races event go directly to the Bruce Green Foundation, and we are very proud to announce that this year we helped to raise £1160 for the foundation! The Bruce Green Foundation take children and young adults from challenging home and educational backgrounds and give them a chance to experience collective entertainment, to gain confidence and to reignite smiles. You can read more about the work the charity do on their website here: Bruce Green Foundation

It was so lovely to see so many family members all out enjoying the various distances on offer. How fabulous that we had a mother/son combo each taking 3rd place in the 5k race, and also a father/son combo winning both the 2k and 5k races!
After what felt like a never ending heatwave, I can imagine the cooler temperatures and sprinkling of rain were nice to race in, with just that one claggy field to pass through for the 10k runners on the way to the top of Honey Hill!
Our 2026 event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 19th July, with entries for all three distances already open on Let’s Do This. Don’t miss out next year!
The second of our charity trail races coming up this year is the Clipston Trail Races event on Sunday, 21st September. This event is organised entirely by the Clipston Recreation Field Trust, with proceeds from the event going to maintain and develop the village playing field for outdoor activities, including tennis, football and a woodland for local forest pre-schoolers.
Choose from a 5 mile or half marathon distances, with all runners receiving homemade cake baked by the local WI at the finish!
